5 October – The EU–Moldova Association Council will hold its 10th meeting in Brussels, chaired by EU High Representative Kaja Kallas. Main focus : Moldova’s EU accession process, political dialogue and reforms, particularly in justice, freedom and security, as well as foreign and security policy, energy, trade and broader economic cooperation.

5-8 October – Plenary sitting of the European Parliament, Strasbourg

6 October – Pre-enlargement policy reviews and the revision of the Standardization Regulation

6 October – President von der Leyen participates in the EP plenary debate in preparation of the European Council meeting of 15-16 October 2026

6 October, 15.30 CET – Parliament’s co-rapporteurs for the EU’s 2028-2034 multiannual financial framework (MFF), Siegfried Mureşan (EPP, Romania) and Carla Tavares (S&D, Portugal), will brief journalists ahead of a plenary debate on Wednesday, 7 of October, on the EU budget.

01 October – 26 November – The Commission is looking for feedback on the proposed EU Regulation – Kids Act (Child online safety – keeping digital spaces accountable and trustworthy). The objective is to collect input from children, parents, guardians, teachers and educators, as well as online platforms covered by the proposal with the aim of feeding it into the legislative debate.
